Most people find their calling. Our founder, Paulina, inherited hers. Every summer of her childhood was spent in her father's jewelry workshop in Beirut, close enough to the craft that it became part of her before she even realized it. She watched him work gold by hand, learned the weight of a well-made piece, and understood instinctively what quality felt like long before she had the words for it.

She went on to study architecture, drawn to structure and the logic of form. Then she made the bold move to go to Thailand, where she studied fine jewelry design and found herself at the very source of it all. She was captivated by the gemstone markets, craftsmanship of local artisans, and the allure of the industry.

In 2020, Paulina moved to Toronto with her husband, where she studied UX/UI design, driven by a desire to understand how people experience jewelry online, what they need, what they cannot find, and how to close that gap. Beirut gave her the craft. Thailand gave her the inspiration. Toronto gave her the understanding to bring it to people around the world. She put everything she knew together and thus, ELARO was born.

Elaro exists to close the gap between exceptional craft and everyday life. We believe fine jewelry should not live in a box. It should be worn, felt, and carried with you, because that’s what it’s made for. Every piece we create is built to that standard, and built to last.
